Markets Around The Island

Sunday is the big Market Day in the village of Teguise, just a 10 minute bus ride 09:00 - 14:00.  A massive selection of stalls to suit all tastes together with local produce stalls and a wide selection of fast food carts to choose from, German Bratwurst, Wraps, Juice Bars, Burgers, Kebabs, to name but a few ... Enjoy!

Wednesday we have a Market in Playa Blanca 09:00 - 14:00, at the Marina Rubicon and Friday is Market Day in Puerto Del Carmen at the Old Harbour 09:00 - 14:00.  Saturday morning in Haria, we have a Local Craft and Produce Market which although not as large as Teguise, is well worth a visit.  Haria also has some lovely bars and restaurants to discover and is also home of the César Manrique House Museum, well worth a visit

Getting Around

There are any number of excursion companies on the Island, every hotel lobby has hundreds of flyers to choose from.  If you are part of a larger group then perhaps car hire is an option, very reasonable on the Island, but always worth shopping around.  Taxis are great for a short spur of the moment trip and offer longer guided tours, but as always, agree prices in advance.  Buses are also a good option around the Island, our News Links and Weather page has links to both Bus Timetables and Routes.  Happy Trails!
